Tuesday,January13,2009

Well, its been over a month since I have wrote on my blog. Not from lack of trying ,but for some odd reason we have been busy. It seemed like after Thanksgiving one of us was sick every week. The weekend of the 12th I got cellulitis in my leg and was so sick. I should had went to the hospital as I had a temp of 103 two days in a row. Then on the 16th our dog had 12 puppies ( 2 died) . We hadn't planned on these and our lovely dogs dug out of their pen and this was the result of it. The puppies are so cute. They will be hard to part with.
On the 19th of December my niece Larissa and nephew Kellen came home for Christmas. It was so wonderful to see them and HUG them. But it was a;so bittersweet as we knew that in two weeks that they would fly home again.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was nice as we all got together for food and fun time together. We didn't really exchange gifts as their is so many of us and we all had somewhat of a hard time this yr.But we did exchange names for New Year's Eve. It is something that my niece started last yr. You buy the person that you drew a 5.00 gift. It could be something that they like to eat or anything. My niece Larissa did the shopping for my brother who drew my name and she did such a nice job. It was all Dear God stuff. I love those kids.
New Year's Eve we all got together and it was fun!! My niece wanted party hats so she brought those and beads for all us ladies. I bought poppers for the kids to left off at midnight. My sister bought the little kids party hats and a pinata for them to do at midnight, We had finger foods and had a good time laughing and being together. But I think it was in the back of all our minds that Larissa and Kellen would leave us again in two days.
My sister Amber and I then stayed up till 4 am playing
cards with the kids . We have learned that we are OLD!! I slept till like 1 p.m. The next day. On New Year's Day my lovely wonderful husband starting cooking dinner for me as everyone was coming back at 4:00 p.m. to eat. He got the ham baked and the spare ribs almost cooked when the power went off. Thank God !! for my generator. It kicked our power on.We couldn't use our stove then but he finished the spare ribs in the electric skillet He put the green bean casserole in the crockpot . We peeled the potatoes and he started them out on the grill on the burner. Thankfully the power came back on and we finished the casserole in the oven and he brought the potatoes back in and we finished them. We then all had dinner together. Larissa and Kellen wanted to go tell their friends goodbye but wanted to make sure they could come back and see all of us. Well I guess Larissa went to the movies with her Aunt and Kellen went to see friends.
When Kellen came back it was so hard because we all knew that he didn't want to go back. He cried so much . I don't see him as being 14 yrs old. I see Kellen as a little boy when I look at him. He was so cute !! ( not that he isn't now.) He was my first nephew and it was all so diffrent having a little guy around
. He was just so cute and always had a huge grin of his face. He hugged and kissed us all and promised that he would be back. I think he had us all in tears. Larissa came home later that night and of course she didn't want to go with her Dad's as then she would be faced with the fact that she was going back to Florida the next morning. Amber and I stayed up another night with her. Our niece Abbie was also here. We played SkipBo and at 3 am Larissa made brownies. At 5 a.m. Amber called it a night and took the girls to their homes. Larissa hugged and kissed me and promised me that this would be the last time I had to tell her GOODBYE!! I am planning on keeping her to this as "My Children" mean the world to me and it hurts so much everytime I have to part with them. So, at 7 a.m. on Friday January 2nd their Dad left to take them to the airport. Larissa called me when she landed in Florida to tell me that they had landed and that she loved me. I felt so good!!
On January 2nd Robert went out to our dog pen and noticed that our female dog Samantha looked diffrent. So he lifted up the flap on the doghouse and there was 3 puppies in it. He brought them and showed me and all I could say was what are we going to do with 3 more???We figured that they was 2 weeks younger then our other
pups as their eyes wasn't opened. These puppies are HUGE!! The largest weighed 3 pounds.
Well, I will stop for now and hopefully add to this tomorrow besides do my daybook even tho' I'm late!! I will continue with our GOODLUCK tomorrow. One of our "surprise Puppies "in this picture
